Terry Taylor

Shares the responsibilites of ownership with his long time friend and partner Mike. In addition to sharing in the many duties of day to day tasks of running a boat dealership, you will often find Terry cleaning up after his two K-9 companions, and dealership mascots, "Brandy and Beau". As is most of The Boat Dock staff, Terry is also an avid boater and fisherman. As a lake Petersburg resident most of his spare time is spent on his home water, but does have the opportunity from time to time to terrorize some of the other local lakes. Like his partner, Terry and the rest of the staff look forward to serving their customers to the best of their ability. We thank everyone for their business and support for the last ten years of operation.

Mike Miles

As one of two owners and operators of The Boat Dock, Mike stays quite busy with his involvement in sales, boats, motors, trailers, parts and accessories. In addition to sales, Mike is also entrenched with the day to day operations of nearly every aspect of the operation. As with all of the staff of The Boat Dock, Mike is always eager to answer any questions you may have about boating or fishing. Being an avid boater and fisherman himself, it's not uncommon to find him on any one of the local lakes, especially Lake Springfield. Mike is also a self proclaimed semi-pro rain gear tester and has been declared the two-time, tri-county backlash pickin' champion. In spite of this seemingly never ending list of talents, Mike manages to stay grounded enough to ensure that the customers of The Boat Dock are always taken care of to the best of his ability.

Brandy and Beau

Unfortunately, we lost our long time friend and greeter, "Buddy", to cancer earlier this year (click here to see memorial below). He will be missed a great deal. We were fortunate to find not a replacement, but a worthy protege in "Beau", the newest member to The Boat Dock family. "Brandy", our veteran greeter is slowly breaking in the pup and we are certain she will soon have him whipped into shape, if she can keep up with his unbridled energy.

Joe A.

Joe "Catfish, Boom-Boom" Anderson has begun his 7th year with The Boat Dock. Joe has brought a whole host of attributes to this organization. If you own a boat from The Boat Dock, Joe more than likely rigged it. Joe has the good fortune of getting boats ready for our customers to enjoy. Joe in more ways than one has been a huge asset (Joe's not a small man in anyone's eyes). In addition to a great work ethic and loyalty, Joe is just as prepared to go the extra mile to insure customer satisfaction. Joe is also an outdoorsman. He enjoys fishing, golfing and has turned into an excellent pool player. Not unlike any of the team at The Boat Dock, we are extremely fortunate to have him.

Pic of Greg
Greg

Has been with The Boat Dock since its inception. Greg has more marine experience than most of us put together. He is fully certified in both Mercury outboards and Mercruiser inboard/outboards. Greg brings not only a wealth of knowledge to our store, but also a ton of heart and caring. Greg is also a true outdoorsman. Hunting, fishing and horseback riding with his family and friends, plays a big part in Greg's valuable spare time. Horses especially have become a huge part of the family's activities, with Greg evolving into an accomplished horseman in his own right. The Boat Dock is proud to have Greg as a member of the team.

Kevin

Began in early 2003 as a detailer with The Boat Dock. Like many of our employees he has put on several hats during his nearly 3 year stint. Rigging and detailing, service and most recently has moved into the Business Manager position. We think he may have found his niche as he has taken to this position like a fish to water. Like several members of The Boat Dock team, Kevin also enjoys playing pool in his off time. Kevin also does a mean Chris Farley impression. Kevin has shown the same commitment to the customer that is emulated throughout the staff.

Pic of Tabatha
Tabatha

Well into her fourth year with The Boat Dock, she has been instrumental in organizing and growing the parts and accessories department, as well as administrating warranty claims for our valued customers. Tabatha also insures that all parts and accessories are ordered and ready for installation on our customers new and used boat purchases. That job in itself is a full time job in the busy season. Treating customers with the same commitment that has become a standard for The Boat Dock, seems to be no challenge for Tabatha. With her commitment, experience and organization, Tabatha is a great asset.

Adam

Is one of our part time team members, at least at this time. Adam currently does much of the general maintenance and detailing around the dealership. His true passion is fishing, with aspirations of one day becoming a tournament contender. He also has serious interest in the marine industry in general. Hopefully we can keep Adam on full time when he completes his education.

Rusty and his wife Carla, and son Josh, are also avid boaters. Rusty's son is a standout sophomore on the varsity football team at Glenwood. Go TITANS!!! We feel Rusty is a great fit in The Boat Dock family. Please have fun with Rusty and rest of our service family. Jim came from a marine background with several years of experience with one of the largest marine dealers in the state of Michigan. In his spare time Jim loves motor cycling,

Joni

Has taken on the responsibility of office manager/book keeper. After nearly 20 years combined office/administration experience we feel she will be more than up for the task. Joni's track record has been one of striving for perfection in all aspects of her position, the type of commitment any company would be glad to be getting. Joni is also a Lake Petersburg resident and enjoys the outdoors. We look forward years of Joni's commitment and loyalty.

Jeff

Jeff is the parts coordinator within The Boat Dock parts and service department. He comes to us from a championship drag racing background and brings that drive to be the best with him. Jeff is also the nephew of our head technician, Greg Kazenski, 'Uncle Outboard' as he calls him. Greg and Jeff both have a vast mechanical background coupled with a great work ethic. With over 10 years of experience in the parts business, Jeff has the know-how to help you find what you need to keep your boat in top condition. We know you will enjoy dealing with Jeff and the rest of our championship service team.

Jim has Joined The Boat Dock after recently retiring his employment with the State of Illinois. Jim is both an avid camper and boater and we are certain his genuinely warm and sincere personality will be a welcome addition to the family.

Pic of Dave
Dave

Dave is originally from Sherman, Illinois and is a graduate of the American Marine Mechanics Institute in Dayton Beach, Florida. After a couple of stints working in the marine industry in Georgia and the U.S. Virgin Islands, Dave has decided to settle down in central Illinois. In his spare time he enjoys ... you guessed it, helping his friends work on their boats but still manages to find time to go boating here locally. Dave's passion in the marine industry is powerboats and one of his goals is to build his own performance boat. In keeping with The Boat Dock tradition of a long line of characters, Dave brings a great sense of humor and a can do attitude. He also does a great Rocky Balboa imitation.

Pic of Lona
Lona

Lona and her husband have recently relocated to Springfield from South Florida. She has taken on a position that requires a ton of personality, patience and a smile that says welcome to each and every customer that visits our business. As you get to know her, you will see she more than shines in this role.
